Agrément / Agreement

“Agrément” 這個詞的關(guān)鍵一部分是“gré”，意為“意向，謝謝，令人滿意”，其原始義是“喜歡” (PIE *gwere- (3) "to

favor")，其同源詞許多，包含“grace, grateful, agree”等，也有意大利文的“grazia” 和西語的“gracia”(“感謝!”

)等。

“喜歡”的原始義在法語的“agréable”和音樂的“agreeable”都中*存出來了，因此, 在這個意思上，二者能夠?qū)ψg。

Exemple:

Nous avons trouvé un endroid agréable pour passer nos vacances.

We found an agreeable place in which to spend our holidays. (= nice,

pleasant)

大家找到一個心曠神怡的好去處去度假。

法語的 “agrément” 常見的也是原始義——“愉快”，常譯為英文的“pleasure”。

Exemple:

1.Avez-vous trouvé de l’agrément à cette lecture?

Did reading that book give you any pleasure? /Did you derive any pleasure

/enjoyment from reading that book?

這本書漂亮嗎?

2.C’est un des agréments de la vie à la campagne.

That’s one of the pleasures of living in the country.

這就是農(nóng)村生活的樂趣之一。

3.Vous y trouvez s?rement de l’agrément.

You will surely find pleasure in it.

您一定會喜歡的。

另一方面，英文的“agreement” 則是“愿意，一致，協(xié)議書”(accord, entente)的含意。

Exemple:

1.They are in agreement on this subject.

Ils sont d’accord à ce sujet.

在這個問題上她們是一致的。

2.The Camp David Agreement was signed in1978.

L’accord de Camp David a été signé en 1978.

戴維營協(xié)議是1978年簽署的。

英文的“agreement” 還能夠表明英語的語法上的“性，數(shù)” 等的“一致，配搭”，一般要譯為法語的“accord” 。

Exemple:

This is one of the rare cases where there is no agreement between the verb

and its subject.

C’est un des rares cas où il n’y a pas d’accord entre le verbe et son

sujet.

這類主語和形容詞不一致(配搭)的狀況是非常少見的。

法語的“désagrément” 是“不愉快，麻煩” (annoyances,

inconvenience)，是“gré”(喜歡)原始義的反義詞。

Exemple:

1.J’espère que l’arrivée de mon fils ne vous a pas causé trop de

désagrément.

I hope the unexpected arrival of my son did not cause you too much trouble

/ inconvenience.

期待我兒子的不期而遇不容易給您產(chǎn)生不便。

2.C’est un des désagréments de la vie à la campagne.

It’s one of the annoyances of /it’s part of the trouble with living in the

country.

這就是在鄉(xiāng)下生活的麻煩之處。

3.Il assistera à la réunion et j’ai peur qu’il nous cause des

désagréments.

He will be at the meeting and I am afraid he will give us bother.

他將參加會議，我認(rèn)為這很有可能令大伙兒不悅。
